Retreat Terms and Conditions
In registering for Inner Light Retreat, you commit to do your best to participate according to the program structure and spirit. If you have specific personal needs, you agree to discuss with the retreat team with a friendly spirit. You agree to participate in the spirit of meditation, yoga and zen with respect for the teachings, venue, and will be mindful and caring towards the other guests, staff and location. You accept and understand some flexibility may be necessary in terms of rooms, food, locations and teachings during the retreat.
By completing an on-line registration/reservation/booking you accept these Terms and Conditions as a binding contract between the Inner Light Retreat on behalf of yourself and any other members of your booking.
EMAIL ADDRESS & TELEPHONE
It is vital that we have a valid email address. If you change this you should inform us immediately. We correspond by email. Once your booking has been made and we have received your deposit, all further correspondence will be done by email. We will also email you all of the information that you’ll require to get to the retreat location. We also require a mobile phone so we can contact you during your stay.
PASSPORTS AND VISAS:
Passports, visas and health/medical requirements: you are responsible for ensuring that you have a valid passport and any necessary visas and any necessary health requirements.
You can apply for e-Tourist Visa for attending the meditation retreat in India. You can apply 120 days in advance prior to expected date of arrival in India. For detail information you can talk to your travel agent or visit e-Visa Online.
The Inner Light Retreat recommends that you take out adequate travel insurance, including cover for medical treatment, accidents and repatriation, and holiday cancellation and curtailment. We strongly suggest that each retreat member purchase individual travel insurance for their trip. It can be a minimal expense for the benefits it provides. We suggest that you include the “cancel for any reason” option and a policy that includes medical coverage. The best way to protect yourself from any unforeseen circumstance is to purchase trip insurance.
The retreat is available from 11:00 AM on the day of arrival and is to be vacated by 10:00 AM on the day of departure. The only way to absolutely ensure early check-in or late check-out is to book an extra day with extra charges.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY:
Please note that the booking fees of $200 USD is non-refundable. However, it is transferable for the next retreat within 1 year.
- Cancellation up to 60 days before the start of your retreat: 100% refund, minus the booking fees.
- Cancellation 30 to 60 days before the start of your retreat: 50% refund, minus the booking fees.
- Cancellation 15 to 30 days before the start of your retreat: 25% refund, minus the booking fees.
- Cancellation within 15 days of the start of your retreat: 0% refund.
You may cancel your Inner Light Retreat booking at any time by sending email with CANCELLATION as the subject line at firstname.lastname@example.org . The cancellation will take effect from the date we receive your cancellation email. Once the retreat has commenced, no refund or part refund will be made in the event of cancellation by you.
YOUR LIABILITY AND YOUR HEALTH:
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are medically, mentally and physically fit and able to use our facilities and participate in any of our retreat activities, including meditation, exercise and periods of silence. Participants who have injuries or mental or physical illnesses are advised to seek doctor’s advice prior to attending our retreat. The Inner Light Retreat is not liable for any injuries you may contract during a retreat.
All meditation practices, exercise and any other retreat activities are undertaken at your own risk. For your own wellness and safety, you must comply fully with all and any health and safety regulations introduced by the Inner Light Retreat during training.
If you have any health conditions, including mental health conditions, you will need to inform the teacher /Inner Light Retreat manager of these before the retreat.
We are responsible for providing the services listed on our website retreat page, where it is within our control. The Inner Light Retreat cannot guarantee that all items listed on our website will be functional at all times, however all endeavors will be made to rectify any problems as soon as we possibly can. We do not accept liability for error omissions, default or negligence represented on our website. We reserve the right without prior notice to withdraw any part or all of the facilities available, and to make such changes as may be necessary. Furthermore, it is agreed by you that the owners/operators of the retreat/s are not the guardians of any customers safety and they, individually or collectively, cannot be held liable in any way for any occurrence, which might result in illness, injury, death or other damage, loss or theft to the customer, their property, or their family, heirs, or assigns. The liability of the Inner Light Retreat is always limited to a total of $ 200 USD irrespective of the title/claim. We do not accept any liability for any loss, damage, injury or illness whilst you are on retreat with us, or for travel costs to or from the retreat site.
Inner Light retreat participants must be respectful and must not engage in offensive, illegal or immoral acts, should this be a situation or should a member become a nuisance to staff, member, participants at Inner Light retreat then we reserve the right to ask a guest to leave our premises or suspend their activities and if it is appropriate, we will do so without any refund or compensation. Disrespect of rules and regulations may result in course termination, without any refund. The decision of the teachers of Inner Light Retreat is final in all respect.
IF WE CANCEL THE MEDITATION RETREAT:
If for any reason beyond our control there is a venue issue we will try to find an alternative location for your retreat. We have never had to cancel a retreat, however, if we do cancel a retreat due to not enough participants, we will refund to you all deposits and payments you have paid (less processing fees ). We cannot however compensate you for airfare or travel costs incurred. In the unlikely event that we must cancel a meditation retreat due to weather, natural disaster, war, political upheaval, or any other circumstance outside of our control, we cannot give any refund or compensation. To cover these risks, again, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance.
We will at times take photographs during a retreats for our website and promotional material, including adverts. You agree to have your photograph taken.
Weather conditions can be unpredictable, and can change quickly and significantly. The Inner Light Retreat cannot be made liable for unpleasant or unsuitable weather conditions and no refunds are made for such conditions.
The Inner Light Retreat cannot predict construction plans in the area and therefore cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience. In the event of building works taking place by local authorities, private developers or neighbors, it is important to note that we are not responsible for such work and we are unable to stop such work taking place and we are unable to control the level of noise. We cannot be held responsible for any building works that take place during your retreat. No refunds can be given in the event of nearby construction.
Means any unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our normal control, which the consequences of could not have been avoided even when exercising all due care. Such circumstances or events include, but are not limited to, war, or threat of war, riot, civil unrest, industrial disputes or strikes, unavoidable technical problems within the villa, transport, or closure or congestion of airports, terrorist activity, natural disasters, industrial disasters, fire, theft, flooding and adverse weather conditions. In the event of any of the above refunds or compensation payments cannot be made.
RIGHT TO CHANGES:
The Inner Light Retreat reserves the right to amend the retreat dates. This may be due to several reasons, not limited to but including, war, adverse weather conditions, riots and or matters concerning participants safety, operational circumstances such as damage caused by fire, or the villa/s becoming unusable due to utility company work or lack of services, leaks, repair work or any other such reason. In these circumstances the booking may need to be adjusted accordingly. The Inner Light Retreat is not liable for any additional costs or losses that may be incurred by the client due to the change of booking. This includes, but is not limited to, any extra hotel reservations or car rentals, or the cost of non-refundable airline tickets. Situations may arise which, in our opinion, make it necessary for us to alter the normal booking schedule. We advise that your travel insurance covers holiday curtailment.
THIRD PARTY SERVICES VIEWS OR ADVICE:
Inner Light Retreat and its teachers do not take responsibility for any third party service and facilities that might be provided during the retreat. We strongly recommend you NOT to take any activities like yoga, massaging, trekking, adventure sports or sight seeing, or availing any other third party services on your own during the retreat.
PRINTING, TYPING, TERMS & CONDITIONS, CALCULATION ERRORS AND OMISSIONS:
The Inner Light Retreat reserve the right to correct any printing or typing errors, omissions or calculation mistakes at any time. We also reserve the right to amend our terms and conditions that apply to your booking at any time and without prior notice.
CONTRACT, COMPLAINTS AND SUGGESTIONS:
The Inner Light Retreat is confident that you will not have any cause for concern during your retreat. However if you should have any problems during your stay this should first be brought to the attention of the retreat teachers. If you are not satisfied with the local resolution, then, any further comments or suggestions should be put in writing, within 7 days of your return, specifying the problems to: email@example.com
However from our past experience of successful retreats, we hope to actively resolve your problems or concerns, if any, during the retreat, with your cooperation and understanding.
