Daily Morning Meditation

Set your alarm for 5:30 am. Get up and start your day. Pour yourself a nice big glass of water.  Just sit for 2 to 3 minutes on bed and invite peace, joy and compassion to life.  Take a few deep breaths. Spread your love to every direction. Focus on the present moment. Feel the blessings of the moment and clear you mind. Open the window let the light and freshness of the new day enter into your life. Wash your hands and face. Brush your teeth. Walk around the nature for 2 minutes. The light that hits just before sunrise stimulates special cells in your eyes, which then send a wake-up call to your brain’s internal clock.

Morning exercise will give you a burst of natural adrenalin and research shows that motivation levels rise significantly. Skip for 5 minutes. Jog for 5 minutes. Do yoga for 15 minutes. Being lazy might feel good at the time, but being active feels better in the long run. Let the morning meditation and exercise relax you and give you a boost of positive energy.

If you are an early riser, get up two hours prior to dawn around 4:00 am. Rise at the same time everyday so that you become habituated to rising on schedule and are more likely to wake up naturally. Get out of bed and walk for about a minute. Wash your hands and face. Wear comfortable loose clothing. Sit with your spine straight in a flexible posture with your legs crossed in a comfortable position. Relax your body and mind; listen with your inner ear the sound of Om with inner eye focused upward.
